Congressman Jason Chaffetz (UT) is Booed After Dodging a Young Girl’s Question at Town Hall

What are you doing to help protect our water and air for our generations and my kids' generations? Do you believe in science? Because I do. Cheering. Keep going. Do you believe in science? Because I do. Cheering. More Cheering. Good for her. That's exactly what we want to see. It takes a lot of guts to come up to a congressman on television and all these people and do that so more power to you, stay being involved, keep being involved. We need good people on both sides of the aisle. Answer the question! I don't pretend to have all the answers to all the questions again. We need good people on both sides of the aisle. I got relatives that are great, good members of the Democratic party, and so I just, I can thank her for her doing this, come on, you're not going to yell at me now, ok.

What is thrown into our air, what is thrown in to our water obviously has an effect on our environment. We have a major problem here in particularly Salt Lake Valley with air pollution, ok? You can't, we have to make sure, we have to make sure that we're being responsible for that. You have a different approach to how we do that than I do, ok, and I do support an "All of the Above" energy strategy, I do think coal is an important part of that too. Loud boos. More boos. One of the things that we're going to have to deal with in our state, one of the things we'll have to deal with in our state is how to deal with transportation, ok, there's a lot of people that want to move to electricity. Well how in the world do you think electricity is generated? Loud boos.
